The idea for Jolly Golf (formerly Good Fellow Golf) was born in the fall of 2023.  While preparing to play a round, I rummaged through my tee pocket to find my lucky ball marker when the sharp end of a tee stabbed me right underneath my fingernail.  I saw stars.  The pain was excruciating.  My hand throbbed.  Unkind words were said.  It was a dark moment.

It’s likely that many of you have also experienced this pain.  And while this story may be *slightly* exaggerated for effect, the themes are real.  Golf bags are disorganized.  The disorganization causes a myriad of frustrations.  I knew that all of us golfers deserved a better way.

Coincidentally, the following weekend, my daughter turned 10 and was gifted a sewing machine for her birthday.  She was sweet enough to give me a tutorial and allow me to use it after she went to bed.  While I had never even threaded a needle before, I was determined to fix this organization problem.

After countless trips to the fabric store and several prototypes later, I landed on a design that held every accessory I needed for a round of golf (other than the golf balls).  My bag was organized!

Fast forward to today, I’ve been blessed to work with a village of individuals who have leant their time and talent to hone my early prototype into the product The Purist is today. 

During the development of The Purist. I realized that not every round of golf is the same. Some are “pure” while some are “merrier”.  And from that realization, the idea for The Merrymaker was born.

Being able to bring these products to golfers is incredibly gratifying.  I am honored to, in my own way, be with those who carry Jolly Golf products as they enjoy this wonderful game we have, and I hope that our products improve their on-course experience.
